When browsing the Preliminary What's New in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2008 you may have already read about Review Availability Check Result, the new overview screen for availability check results in SAP S/4HANA.

Motivation

When it comes to partial confirmations for customer requests or if a requirement cannot be confirmed fully by a single plant, internal sales representatives must be directly informed and able to discuss the situation openly with their customers. To make this possible, a holistic overview of the confirmation situation for one or more items is required, including details of the ATP check result such as restricting factors, for example, consumed sales allocations for a customer or market.

Following an incremental approach

The initial increment of this holistic overview in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2008 consists of the overview screen itself – it confirms if the ordered products can be delivered in time and quantity as requested by the customer and how much of the ordered product is expected to be delivered. Furthermore, the screen indicates if alternative shipping locations have been found and if they could be used to confirm the requirements:

If the delivery proposal for an item needs to be edited, the internal sales representative can click the item and navigate to the delivery proposal screen. Changes to the confirmation are applied and can be reviewed again on the overview screen. When the displayed confirmation is applied, the order is updated.

To get a feel for the new screen and to identify how the Review Availability Check Result screen can help you in your daily work, take a look at the following video*:

* Video has been recorded in an internal test system, UI may slightly differ from Fiori experience.

Future increments will add new capabilities to the Review Availability Check Result and provide a fully Fiori-tized look and feel.

What’s next?

  • The next increment will detail the basic method (for example, Product Availability Check, Product Allocation) used to calculate confirmations.

  • In addition, it will be possible to choose between alternatives defined in Alternative-Based Confirmation.
