Background

When you create a billing document request (BDR) for a released service contract in the Schedule Billing Document Request Creation app, maybe an error message appears. Some common error messages are listed here.

Error message

1. No data for creating BDRs is currently available.

Diagnosis:

There are no Billing Request Lines fulfilling your parameters. No Billing Document Requests will be created.

Resolution:

Check the parameters you entered, then schedule a new job for BDR creation.

2. Material XXX has not been maintained.

Diagnosis:

One possible reason is that the material description is not maintained for related language.

Language of the material description should be same as the language of sales organization.

Resolution:

Step 1. Check the language of sales organization.



Step 2. Go to your Fiori Launchpad and use the ‘Manage Product Master Data’ app. (You may need the business role PRODMASTER_SPECIALIST for your user.)



Step 3. Search for the product in question



Step 4. Go to General Information tab and find the Descriptions section, add the language which is the same as the language of sales organization.



Step 5. Then schedule a new job for BDR creation.

 

3. Customer xxx: Customer master table KNVV is missing.

Diagnosis:

Customer master data was not created for the Sales Organizational Data of the Service Contract and Billing Document Request cannot be generated.

Resolution:

Refer to KBA.
