Working with Fiori Elements applications should increase the usability on one side, give you a good feeling when using ERP software, but also increase the productivity on the other side.

Applications such as 'Manage Bank Statements' or 'Manage Bank Statement Reprocessing Rules' and many other Fiori Applications that have been build using the Fiori Elements Framework (read more about Fiori Elements here) have by default the functionality of Keyboard shortcuts which increase the productivity of power users immensely.

In this blog I will show you a couple of short cuts you can use on the example of the Manage Bank Statement Reprocessing Rules, which is used to create and maintain business rules who can help to increase the automation of bank statement items handling in your system.

Let's start with the first action which is creating a Reprocessing Rule. For Windows users you have to press CTRL + enter, for Mac OS users CMD + enter. The focus has to be on the table on the list report.

Now let's save the newly created rule by entering some condition and some action and pressing CTRL + S  for Windows users or CMD + S  for Mac OS users. The focus for that has to be on the object page.

After saving we might see that we still need to add another condition to our newly created reprocessing rule. We do this by pressing CTRL + E  on a Windows PC or CMD + E  on a Mac OS device.

Let's navigate back to the list report view and select one rule there which we want to delete. By pressing CTRL + D  for Windows users or CMD + D  for Mac OS users, we can delete the rule after confirming on the pop up.

The same is also possible to do inside a rule on the so called object page, by pressing CTRL + DEL for Windows users or CMD + FN + DEL (if DEL is not on the keyboard use the backspace key) for Mac OS users.

We can also refresh the data entries in our table if the focus is on the smart filter bar, above the list report, by pressing just enter, which works the same way for Windows and Mac OS users.

Want to change the table settings, filters, grouping or sorting? You can do that also by pressing CTRL + , for Windows or CMD + , for Mac OS. Prerequisite here is that the focus has to be on the table.
