New document types

Dear community,

Is it possible to create new document types not as a copy but as new entries?

I want to enter reverse document type and it is not possible otherwise.

Hi Mario,

Currently in S4 Hana cloud we can create a new document type only by copying from an existing document type. And the reversal document type will also get copied and cannot be modified. We had a similar requirement in our project. You will need to contact your Product expert / CSM and submit a request for this new document type.

You should file an incident and indicate that the reversal document type should be opened up for maintenance. Creating a new document type from scratch is more complicated than it seems due to splitting rules.
