Hi community,
as far as I know, it is NOT possible to connect SAP Solution Manager 7.2 to SAP S/4HANA Cloud!
But do you have idea when it will be foreseen? Any indication? Any rumours?
Thank you!
Martin
P.S. I know that SAP will not commit to any timeline, but an indication would be great!
Hi Martin,
Solution Manager is more for On Premise projects.
For information, the Cloud Implementation Portal has been officially announced last week during SAPPHIRE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4A1EVGIPNc
This is the new tool used for project implementation.
KR,
Paul

Hi Paul,
thanks for your response. Well I do not know whether I should be really happy about this information. A new tool means (usually) new licences, many improvement areas (so called bugs 😉 ) etc.
This will raise many questions like:
- What is the boundary / difference to the solution manager? Will there be an interface?
- What if customer want to establish a 2-Tier approach? Do the customer need to buy Solution Manager and Implementation Portal?
- Will there be the possibility to connect to on-prem as well?
- What about the run phase? Solution manager is not only for the implementation / test phase?
- Where can I find a roud map? Slides? Something?
Regards
Martin
