C_FinStmntComparison CDS view missing

Hello,

We are trying to build a new CDS view, starting from "FINANCIAL STATEMENT - Grid based"  app. We are looking at its documentation:

Here, it says: This app uses the C_FinStmntComparison CDS view.

But when looking for this CDS in our system, it doesn't exist. 

Is it posible the CDS view has changed? how can we know the real one?

Hi Mario,

The CDS view C_FinStmntComparison is indeed within the system however is not released for use (see attachment).

You may see all the views in the system using the Fiori app 'view browser.' Accordingly, in building your new CDS you may refer to the underlying data sources.

Further, I invite you to explore the 'data extension' scenarios found in custom fields and logic app which will allow you to include more fields in the standard reports underlying CDS views without necessarily having to rebuild from scratch.

Possible scenarios that may be relevant to you are 'GL Account Line Item with Semantic Tag' as well as 'P&L - Plan/Actual.'

Hello Feras and thanks for your response.

We had already tried the "view browser" app but it seems it doesn't work: No items avaliable.

I also thought about using "custom fields and logic" app but the field we need to add is standard, not custom, so this shouldn't work.

In fact, our requierement is to make a mix of two standard reports: "Finantial Statement - Grid based" and "Display Treasury Posting Journal".

Any idea?

Which should be the "Business Context" to be able to extend "GL Account Line Item with Semantic Tag" CDS view?

Hi mfranco ,

For data source extensions, in the tab 'data source extension' of Fiori app 'Custom Fields and Logic' we do not strictly need a business context. You should be able to view the extension scenario directly as show in screenshot attached.
