Aged AR per project

Hi there;

We like to produce a report that shows us the aged receivables per project. We haven't been able to find any cds views that would help us with this. Just wondering if anyone could help with identifying the views needed.

I know the information is available in the project factsheet but we need to provide additional information like WIP, billed revenue, cost etc and need to build a custom cds view for this.

Hello Thomas and the Community,

Thank you for bringing up this point. Indeed, aging reports (customer) and or (supplier) provide essential information used in financial management and control.

The out-of-the box smart business apps are generic and in case your needs are not fully addressed then the capabilities of embedded analytics may be leveraged to develop a custom report.

For starters, I recommend considering the following CDS views if you have not done so already:

1. I_APFlexibleAging (the underlying data source for the out-of-the-box report has been provided).

2. I_ARJrnlEntrItmAgingGrid (further tailored released CDS view for AR open items aging report)

In case the above released views do not fully address your need then you may build your own aging report using a stacked view approach on the accounting document cube. Based on customer experience, one example for which a custom report may be needed is if the key-business user needs to view the aging information based on document date vis-à-vis the date based on payment terms. To illustrate this use-case and the stacked view approach please find the attached document.

Hi there,

I am in a similar position with a customer currently. Was this raised in the customer influence? Has development committed to a date? I have been trying to link the billing CDS views to project and it's not working.

Hi Thomas ,

I checked and currently there is no CDS view available that provides the Project information required . Development are aware of the request but are unable to provide a date / release for when it'l be available.

Please use the SAP Continuous Influence at the link https://www.sap.com/about/customer-involvement/influence-adopt.sap-continuous-influence.html for what you would like included in the CDS view.

What about a view that shows open items and payments per invoice. This could then possibly be linked back to the sales order. Then via the sales order to the project?

We will investigate this further and report back.

AR/AP Aging reports Apps are not showing all the Customers/Suppliers List of Dues and Due Dates,Just showing TOP 10 only.The Aging reports are not as per Standard Business users Formats,(in ECC aging reports were more apprciated y Business users) Now Aging Reports Formats need to lot many changes in S4H1811Cloud.SAP Developers may nt this and Act quickly to Improve and impress to Business User on S4H1811 Cloud product.
