Can the default keys for the  revenue recognition results analysis be changed or removed?

Hi Enda, so these are the default keys. If I want to change which results analysis key this defaults to can I change it?

Currently for Fixed Fee it defaults to Fixed Fee POC can this change to example Fixed Fee No Rev Recog instead of going into the app event based revenue recognition to change the RA key

You can use SSCUI "Derivation of Recognition Key for Project-Based Services" (ID 102517) to configure which recognition key initially shall by derived when a project item or sales order item is created. The recognition key determines the way how revenue recognition calculates.

Three main "item categories" are used for Professional Services customer projects:

- PS01: Fix price items

- PS02: Time and material based billing items

- PS06: Periodic service items

The column “results analysis key” here represents the recognition key.

There you can change the results analysis key from SPFC to SPNFC for Item Category PS01.

There is no possibility to define own recognition keys.

Key definition:

SPFC: Fix Price Cost based POC: Revenue is recognized on cost based percentage of completion. The plan costs originate from an automated estimation of completion calculation. COGS are recognized as they occur.

SPNFC: Fix Price POC No Rev Rec: Revenues and COGS are recognized as they occur. The period end closing will clear existing revenue recognition postings, except effects from bundling.
