Timesheets - Do we have the capability of entering timesheets on other's behalf in S4 Hana?

Hi All,

I'm in process rolling out professional services solution for a client and have some questions on time entry?

1) Do we have the capability of entering timesheets on other's behalf in S4 Hana?

2) Is there a capability to track standard hours, overtime hours, other categories etc and capture associated costs? For ex - Standard hours - $100/hr, Overtime hours - $125/hr etc.

3) Is there a copy/paste functionality from excel to time entry app in S4 (similar to CAT2)?

Hi Bikram,

1) There are two options to submit a time sheet on behalf of an employee:

a) As a project manager or project controller you can submit a time sheet/record times for an employee in a Notify Missing Time App -> Edit Time Sheet.

b) As a line manager you can also submit hours for an employee in the Team Utilization App.

For more details please refer to a Scope Item J12.

2) With a SSCUI 102912 (App Manage your Solution) you can define your own overtime categories. Currently you can define sales process and differentiate between standard rates and overtime rates. With 1908 release you will be also able to use those overtime categories for a cost rates maintenance (App Manage Cost Rates) and specify standard and overtime cost rates. If the employee selects an overtime category during time recording, the defined overtime rates are retrieved by the system to determine costs.

3) The App Manage My Timesheet does not provide a functionality for a copy/paste from an excel for recording hours

Hi Bikram,

1) As a Project Manager, you can edit the time sheet of all employees staffed to your projects through app "Notify Missing Time". Please find more info in the SAP Help Portal: https://help.sap.com/viewer/0bebd08dffca45afa67b1f751199afd0/1905.500/en-US/5dbbb690aad5438fa4bb827c...

2) Could you please provide more details on the requirement? Do you want to track missing time entries and associated costs? If yes, you can use the same app mentioned in 1) "Notify Missing Time" to check the planned effort, approved and recorded hours with the relevant project, work package, work item and activity type for each of the staffed employee. Additionally, you can send reminders through e-mail to all the employees and contingent workers who have not recorded adequate time as per the planned effort. However, this app does not provide information on the associated cost.

3) Not as far as I'm aware of.

Small addition to 1) Also the Line manager can record timesheets on behalf of his team member thru the team utilization app.
