MRP gives diverging result dependent on app used

When we plan a material with the 'Schedule MRP' app,  we get the result we expect to see.

However, if we use the app 'Check Material Coverage' and there do an MRP, the result we get is totally different.

Why the difference between the apps?

Please take a look at the note 2482315 - Parameters of the MRP Run when called from the MRP apps

As you can see in the note, when the MRP Run is called in the MRP Apps, in your case "Check Material Coverage" app, the MRP run is hardcoded with the following parameters:

• MRP Regenerative Planning: ' '

• Include BOM Components in Planning: ' '

• Include Stock Transfer Materials in Planning: ' '

• Planning mode: '1' (Adapt Planning Data)

• Material Scope for MRP: 'A' (All)

• Date for planning (basis of comparison for time-phased plng): Current date

• Scheduling of Planned Orders: '1' (Determination of Basic Dates)

When you manually set the MRP Run, you probably are using different parameters, which are causing the differences.
