Journal Entry Date

Good day,

Do someone know if it is possible to change the system behavior that when you accidentally enter the journal entry date in a future year (2029.04.10) the system gives you a warning or error message.

I know that if your posting date is in a future year the system will give an error message to say that the posting period is not open.

Please see screen print that the system allows me to process this journal without a warning or error message that my journal entry date is in the future.

Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Andro

Hi Luis,

Thanks you so much. This help and we created a BADI where the system will generate an error message if the journal entry date is greater than the posting date.

Regards,

Andro

Hi Andro,

I would imagine you would always have the option to reverse that entry and rebook correctly.

In order to change the system behaviors in such instances, I would recommend to raise an enhancement request at Influence portal for this functionality http://influence.sap.com/saps4hanacloud.
