Dear Friends,

I am analysing "P&L Plan/Actual" app wherein we observed that the column"Plan Amount in CC currency" is showing the same values as Actual values.

where shall we maintain plan values to reflect in plan column of this report..!

Thanks & Regards,

Hi SatyaPrasad,

In order to upload Plan data please use the "Import Financial Plan Data" application. There is a SAP upload file that can be downloaded from the application.

Best,

Hi riwamouawad

Thanks for the information shared. But this doesn't answer the question.

1. with respect to the documentation shared, i have already gone through the same. It is talking about the Project plan, not about the plan values in P&L report.

2. we have used the dimensions and yes, as you rightly mentioned, we can see the source where the actual values are coming from. but the question is about the values in the column "Plan Amount in CC currency".

3. Yes i can share the screenshot as well.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi SatyaPrasad,

Please have a look at this documentation in regards to your question: https://help.sap.com/viewer/29cf986299714386847f4d4c9bb86994/1905.500/en-US/21218854c46ee75ee1000000...

Also, in the Plan/Actual report if you pull in dimensions to the report you are able to see where the data is coming from. Can you share a screenshot of what you currently see?

Hi riwamouawad

Thanks for the response.

Yes, we are using Customer Projects. (so, i guess "import financial plan data" is not relevant).

I am not trying to load any plan data, i am looking in to "P&L Plan/Actual" application, wherein there is a column ""Plan Amount in CC currency". Which means, it is possible to have planned values for those appearing in that app.

So, wanted to understand how and from where are the Planned values getting updated in to this report..!

Thanks & Regards,

Actually, I should have asked, are you using customer projects? What are you trying to load Plan data for?

Hi Satya,

Depending on the planning category that you intend to use on any of the Plan/Actual reports, you may need to enter financial plan data beforehand. As riwamouawad mentioned, you can import financial plan data by using the "Import Financial Plan Data" app. On this app, you can download templates for source files of typical planning scenarios, such as P&L Statement Planning.

However, there are a few prerequisites for importing financial plan data. For example, it must be possible to import data into the planning categories that you input in the CSV file. This means that the planning categories must be flagged as Import Allowed in SSCUI "Maintain Category for Planning" (SSCUI ID: 101970). Looking at the screenshot you shared, I believe you may be using planning category ACT01 (Actual). Actually, you cannot import plan data into this category, as this is meant to store actual data alone. In fact, if you take a look at the SSCUI mentioned above, the Import Allowed option is greyed out for ACT01. That's why column "Plan Amount in CC currency" is showing the same as the actual values.

If you do not want to import plan data, I suggest you to use planning categories PRO01 (CPM Baseline) or PRO02 (CPM Ongoing). These planning categories are of application type Project Management, which means that the application itself may enter plan data. That is, when you use PRO01 or PRO02, the planned values will be automatically taken out of the project.

Kind regards,

Ana
