Procedure of taking backups of analytical apps in S/4HANA cloud

We are currently exploring potential business opportunity, wherein we have created few analytical fiori apps in S/4HANA cloud. 

These apps are created via Smart Business Runtime and Application Path Framework (APF). We understand we can take export/import of apps using APF approach.

Hence wanted to know if we have similar approach to export/import or take a backup of  analytical apps created in S/4HANA cloud. Would request team to take this on priority .

Hi Jyoti,

I would assume when you say export/import, this would be more relevant in transport requests when extension items are brought into context in S4Hana Cloud.

You can transport a certain range of item types using the Manage Software Collection app and the Import Software Collection app.

The following item types can be transported with the Manage Software Collection and the Import Software Collection app.

Custom Logic and fields, Custom Business Objects, Queries, Form template, Email template etc.

So, to your question: Queries refer to custom Analytical Queries and this is part of transport request- Query Browser.

On a lighter note, the view browser app gives you options to create, copy and view all analytical queries created by Key user.

We have created few apps using KPI browser and smart business runtime apps.

Based on reply, I do understand that we can transport / migrate analytical queries.

We have created apps ( e.g. tile, if we click on those tile, we do get analytics)

As these are custom based apps and created in S/4HANA cloud. And we want to take dump or backup of apps / tiles as well for our future reference.

Kindly let me know if it is really possible in S4/HANA cloud.

Hi Jyoti,

It is not possible to take a dump or backup of the apps in S4HC, the simple reason being, the customer tenant is hosted in public cloud and hence consultants/customer will not have the backend access.

The ticket component to raise incidents for customer specific case will be BC-SRV-APS-EXT.
