Hi SAP community,
Does anybody what is the purpose of the 100136 configuration point (define the cross global company codes)?
Thank you in advance for the help,
Regards,
Laure Altazin
I found this on help.sap.com : Cross System Company Codes are global organizational units which must be named the same in all systems to avoid any errors occurring in the distributed environment. Local organizational units are assigned to global organizational units in the individual systems.
If you want to use ALE, you have to assign the local organizational units to the global organizational units in your systems to ensure that they are used consistently in the distributed environment.

Agree - but if we have 2 company codes (in different countries) in the S4HC systems linking to the same external company codes on other systems, then wouldn't we want the two S4HC companies to be able to reference the same external codes?
The current config doesn't seem to let you do this (unless I am missing something really obvious, which is not unheard of!)

Has anyone else encountered issues with setting these up where you cannot assign the same values to org structures set up in different countries?
This seems like a bit of a flaw to me - as if you have organisations in two countries on your S4HC system - presumably you would want them to both use the same values - and as you say. make those consistent with values used on other systems also?
