Is it possible to make form changes during upgrade process?

Hi there,

     I know that we cannot make any "configuration" changes between the point in time when Q system and P Systems are not in sync (Q  = 1811 & P = 1808), however I'm not entirely sure if this relates to Form changes (Download/Upload). The change process for forms is managed by Apps in Q and P, so not sure if SAP restricts access or whether we can continue to make (small) changes.

Can anyone confirm?

Based on everything I've heard while you can work on the form and its assignment in Q, you cannot export the form via Export Software Collection and import it using Import Software Collection in Production while the two systems are on different releases.

I can confirm that the Import software collection App into the P System is locked during the upgrade (2 weeks between Q and P being upgraded)

As Ryan said: you can make changes in Q, but you cannot move the form to P until both systems are on the same version. This holds for all software collections.

Hi,

I think, the restriction also applies to Forms changes nduring upgrade period as there could be differences to layouts/content between releases and this could cause discrepencies.
