Output Determination: Generating Pick-list output when the Sales Order has been created

Hello S4HC Community,

Has anyone configured the picklist output to generate once an order confirmation has been created? I've been tasked with this requirement and have been searching high and low for a scenario where this has been executed. Unfortunately, I've found no documentation that outlines this process or a similar process. 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe look at creating the delivery when the Sales Order confirmation is received (rather than the picking list), the Pick list could then be generated Automatically) from the delivery?

The reason that our customer wants to generate a pick list whilst still in the sales order is due to volume. They want to be able to get a headstart on picking items that are currently available instead of waiting for the delivery to be generated and then trying to rush to meet the delivery times. If they have the opportunity to pick some of the items while only the sales order is created then this simplifies the process for them. They have to have one delivery only so creating multiple deliveries is not an option.

Hi Mark,

There is no standard scope item that supports this requirement in S/4HANA cloud. You may explore the possibility of a side-by-side extensibility to trigger the picklist with order confirmation as a trigger.

Hi Mark,

Honestly speaking, I didn't understand the dependency you mentioned between generating a picklist output and a Sales order confirmation.

Picking List is a list generated by system for all the deliveries ready for picking based on the Warehouse and transfer order confirmation. Once the transfer order is completed and confirmed, the relevant quantity will be assigned to the delivery for processing. Where as, order confirmation is a document shared with customer with confirmed delivery details.

Can you please provide more details and the scope item in context to help me understand the issue here...
