Hello There,

Scope item 3DT is basically linking blockchain technology to RFQ processing in S/4HANA Cloud. Here is the link to the scope item documentation on BPC.

BlockChain is an open, decentralized information repository with the idea that every transaction on a Blockchain is public record that is verified by everyone in the community. This has a potential to bring more transparency to the bidding process, with all the transactions being recorded through blockchain platform. I have seen customers from the Manufacturing domain evaluating blockchain technology for Sourcing operations in the past as well. This can particularly be useful when you have a large base of global vendors responding to your sourcing requests.

Currently 3DT scope item needs additional blockchain service to be hosted over the SAP Cloud Platform. The scope item is in beta release i.e. the full functionality will only be available once the complete business functionality is officially released.
