Hi;
We are using LiveCycle Designer for changes to our S/4HANA forms. We have some complex requirements that require a fair bit of scripting. Has anyone had any luck in getting the debugging of scripts working in Preview PDF mode?
I can get the consule window to display CTRL-J, but it does not seem to hooked up to the script. Also when I try to save the data xml using the command
xfa.host.exportData("",0)
I am getting an error "$host does not have the method exportData".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thomas
Hi;
I found a solution. the PDF Preview was set to Static PDF Form. It needs to be Dynamic XML Form. The setting is available via Form Properties -> Preview and by right mouse click on the Preview PDF tab.

Hi Thomas, Are you able to elaborate a bit more. We are also trying to see what kind of data is available for each different type of output form. My developer knows how to check the XML in the SAP BYD but no clue in the S/4 HANA cloud.
Do you mean doing a print preview of a form? Which form? PO Sales order, billing? Or this is done in the Adobe Life Cycle?
Not sure if you are after the actual xml source in S/4HANA. If yes have a look at this note
https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#notes/2678898
It displays the xml instead of the pdf.
