Hello Expert,
we have a process whereas customer returns the damaged material back and we need to provide replacement i.e. subsequent free of charge delivery process, i found order type SD2, but not able to process and throwing a error as "CMR/SDF with ARM active must be part of a returns process" is this the right process? or i am missing anything here.
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance

Hi Vincee,
Free of Charge Delivery refers to scope item BDA and order type CBFD is used for this process. You can find more details on Best Practices Explorer.

Hi Sai,
Thanks for the reply.
But i Believe Free of charge and Subsequent free of charge both are different process, in Subsequent Delivery Free of Charge we will create order with reference to return order whereas we replace the damaged material. But Free of charge is a standalone process, Please correct me if i am wrong
Thanks
Sorry Vincee…. you are right. I misread your requirement.
Can you please check the scope item BKP - Accelerated Customer Returns.
With this scope item, in reference to the original billing document or sales document a return order is created. Once saved, a return delivery is automatically generated. After receiving the goods they are inspected at the warehouse. The user can influence when the refunding documents are created: either directly, when releasing a return order or after the inspection. Finally he can decide on the compensation type for the customer: either shipping a replacement or paying a credit memo.
With 2002 release, this scope item is enabled with an app “Manage Customer Returns”. With this app, you can now compensate customers with replacement materials that are different from the returned materials. In addition, you can now choose a supplying plant from which the replacement materials are to be delivered. The supplying plant can be different from the receiving plant for the returned goods.
Kindly note that new feature updates are just for your information and the details may change without any prior notification. Additionally, they can depend on country and scope item activation and its confirmed availability with release.
Thanks
Sai
