Within the Test Your Processes app I have executed a test plan but the process steps are not processing. No error messages are presented but the progress indicator remains at 0% and the status of plan is 'In Process'. Are there other steps I need to enact before the test will progress?

I assume you found a solution to your issue. Nevertheless, for other customers having the same issue:
If test execution is not starting, please check if you maintained (correctly) the test user in "manage your test process" app. At the bottom of the screen is a functionality "manage user". This needs to be filled.
This is also explained in detail in the first link (test your processes user guide) that Rodrigo shared.
