CDS view for Professional Services Cost Master Data (Activity Type - wise)

Dear Community

We are trying to build a custom query for the time & cost reported against each profit center.

For this, we do have the time data reported by each resource against a project and activity type available in the respective CDS views.

However, what we were unable to find is the Activity Type - wise Costs Master Data, to multiply with the time & arrive at the amounts.

We would like to understand if there exists a CDS view that contains the professional services activity costs master data that we maintain using the app - Manage Cost Rates Professional Services.

If any of you are aware of this, please share the info.

Hi Nitin,

There's no released CDS that holds the cost data you're looking for. But can't your requirements be fulfilled by the journal entry cube? I_JOURNALENTRYITEMCUBE. It holds all the details you mention.

The CDS is indeed very useful for all types of reporting.

The data in the CDS you have shared is in line with the standard apps like 'Project Plan/actuals' and 'Project Actuals'.

This is fine and is useful to certain extent, but still does not hold the costs master data which should have ideally been made available in some released CDS.
