Hello,
We are working with a client where we need sales contract are defined to set basic information needed for subsequent documentation. Quantity or amount is not the var, it is merely informative.
This means, that once the quantity identified in the sales contract is reached, further sales documents referrenced to the same sales contract can be created. In an on premise System, we could change the error message to a warning message, or we could use an item category which is not relevant for completion.
Are you aware of any other way to manage this in S/4HANA Cloud?
Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi Anna,
As you are aware, with S/4HANA Cloud it is not possible to modify any parameters with Item categories like in on-premise environment. Alternatively, to address this requirement you can explore the possibility to use custom logic through in-app extensibility at sales document item level.
Business Context: Sales: Sales Document Item
Business Add-In (BAdI) : Sales Item Check (SD_SLS_CHECK_ITEM)
You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) SD_SLS_CHECK_ITEM to perform customer-owned checks on sales document item data. Check results have to be communicated via messages to be added to a message table.
Changing Parameters
MESSAGES: Can be filled with messages containing the check results. In addition to a message text (free text), the messages have to consist of one of the following message types:
I - Information
W - Warning
E - Error
