Hello, Experts,

We have this case:

for some FG mateirals, we want sys  automatically increase fixed qty for prod order qty. this increased qty will be used for testing and then scrap.

for example:

the requirement is 100KG, we want prod order qty increaed to 102 KG

the requirement is 1000KG, we want prod order qty increaed to 1002 KG

This additional increased qty is fixed qty ,not percent %

Would you please give some suggestion which function can be used ?

Logically it is not a good practice. In SAP On-premise and In cloud this is not supported.

The best way to handle this scenario :

1.) Change the Production order Header - quantity manually. This will allow to manage samples manually without QM Module being active.

2.) Activate QM Module. Use Fixed sample of 2 Qty. Maintain Sampling drawing procedure and sampling procedure in the inspection plan.

If you have more questions feel free to contact me.

Thanks

Hi, Shashi,

We have a lot of prod orders ,

so option 1 "Change the Production order Header - quantity manually " is not fit for us.

For option 2, would you please tell me which scope item I need to activate?

By the way, if I activate scope item in test sys, the prod sys will automatically activate this scope item or not?

You should consider 'Assembly scrap %' in the BOM or Product master (if the product is an assembly). The system increases the quantity to be produced by the scrap quantity calculated. f the quantity to be produced is 100 KG and you specify an assembly scrap of 2%, you are reckoning with a scrap quantity of 2 KG. As a result, 102 KG are produced.

The system increases the quantity to be produced for all of the assembly's components accordingly.

For the "QM module" please consider the scope items under Asset Management - Maintenance Management. You should activate all 4 items (as of 1905).

gabor.kovacs2 the problem is Fixed sample 2pc, not percent, it means produce 100pc, sys generate 102pc, Produce 10000pc, sys generate 10002pc,so I can not use 'Assembly scrap %' .

For QM Module, thank you very much for your suggestion, I will check these scope items.

Hi Joanna

Unfortunately i don't think there is a nice way of doing this currently. Maybe there is a creative way to add a low assembly scrap % in combination with a rounding profile that rounds to the nearest 2. Not sure this would 100% work though.

I believe destructive sampling functionality would solve this as exists in ECC so perhaps its worth creating a request on the influence portal for this.
