Internal order for time registration

Hello,

is there a way to let an internal disappear from the manage my timesheet list?

When creating a new task you can select an internal order. All internal orders linked to a cost center appear in that list. The validity of the internal order is not taken into account.

Any ideas?

Hi David,

Before providing input, please note that technically beginning with the 1802 release internal orders are not supported and the recommended best practice is to use internal projects. When using internal projects unless the resource is assigned & confirmed to the project that project will not appear in the consultant's timesheet list. Please see the attached presentation on the details outlining the migration from internal orders to internal projects.

That being said, with regards to restricting the list of internal orders on timesheet task list, first the SSCUI (102509) in mange your solution for the data entry profile may allow you to completely restrict internal orders from appearing on the timesheet. Second, have you considered restricting the cost center from the service organization assignment used for professional services since the cost center is related to the internal order? Lastly, I recommend revising the internal order category and other master data fields that in combination make accounting objects appear on the timesheet.

Hope this helps,

Thank you,

Feras
