Security Authorizations - Pricing Condition Types

Hello all,

I was wondering if there is ability in MTE to have an authorization object based upon the pricing condition type. I would like to restrict by role/user who is allowed to use certain pricing discount condition types.

Hi Tom,

With MTE, you can only juggle with business catalogs assigned to a business user and can further impose few restrictions based on certain objects such as sales area, document type etc.. The solution does not support to control at the level of pricing condition types as of now.

However, just thinking out loud - please check if you can use the Sales document workflow to set an approval process for sales order value. It could be a workaround for your business requirement.

Thanks Sai, unfortunately the work flow only works on overall value. Where I am trying to put some locks in are with the amount of discount a user can apply. So my initial thought was to create one discount condition that was set up to have a max allowed of x amount - to be used by order entry clerks. Create another condition with unlimited discount amount that could only be used by pricing supervisors.

Do you know if there are extension points available to use in the authorization area I could look into?
