OData Service for Business Partner - Update employee basic information

Hello,

We are preparing an application to update employee information in S/4HANA Cloud. For this, we are using both Replicate employee SOAP API and OData Service for Business Partner.

We just saw that in OData Service for Business Partner from both search fields only SearchTerm1 is available. 

API_BUSINESS_PARTNER - A_BusinessPartner

Is 'SearchTerm2' not suppose to be available to be updated?

Hi Anna, Hi Amith,

We acknowledge the gap, and can confirm that 'SearchTerm2' field would be available in API_BUSINESS_PARTNER with S/4HANA 2005CE Release.

Hi Anna,

A very good catch!! Standard fields as(it should be) part of the API, if they are missing will need to be brought to the notice of Product Development so that the missing standard fields(in API) can be incorporated in the coming upgrades.

I can confirm few other fields are also missing from the API.

I also verified the same in the specification payload and are missing there too, which means they are not available as part of extension.

Would you be kind enough to raise an incident with LO-MD-BP if not already done please?
