is it possible to deactivate the automatic entry suggestions on any field in the Cloud?

Dear all,

SAP Cloud has a functionality to suggest entries whenever the users give data on a field. I try to personalize it or deactivate it completely for the whole client.

is this possible and if yes, how?

thanks

Hi Mustafa,

Yes you can but this is relevant for GUI based apps. On the top menu bar choose "more" -> "GUI actions and settings" -> "Settings" then from the newly opened window navigate to the "interaction design" tab and disable "field history" to get rid of the autofill suggestions for previous entries. You can also disable "enhanced search" if you don't want things like document numbers to be automatically suggested based on the first few digits you type.

Did you find the way to do it?

I would also like to disable the enhanced search.

Hi ferasbasha3 and rickkonings89

I mean the "Enhanced Seach" when you starting puting the numbers of the field such as Order Number (on the Order Display app), the system giving the order numbers starting with the number you put in. Please see the attachment.

I know that in on-premise version, it is feasible but I was expecting to have it also on the Cloud version.

Thanks for your time.

Hello Mustafa,

Do you mean the default values the system proposes when for example creating a purchase requisition? These can be maintained in your user settings > default values.

Or do you mean the suggestion the system does when you start typing in for example the material field (Enhanced Search)? In a on premise situation you can maintain these settings in the GUI options, so I expect this is not possible in S/4HANA Cloud (allthough I'm not 100% sure).

Hello Mustafa,

In addition to rickkonings89 remarks if you are looking to restrict the value help on a given screen for a group of users than this may be managed using business role restrictions in identity and access management.

For example, you may restrict the specific values of fields that appear in the apps associated to the catalogue(s) within the 'AP_Accountant' role. Then users how have this role assigned will consume the restricted/personalized value help for given fields.

Hope this answers your question,

Thank you
