populating CO-PA Characteristic from SD billing document ??

Hi expert.. maybe somebody can help me .. 

I´ve created custom field for business context "Accounting: Market Segment" , text field

I´ve created custom field for business context "sales: Sales document item " and scenarios for this field 

• sales: sales document item -> sales: billing document item 
• sales: Bililng document item - > Accounting: Journal Entry Item 

What steps I need for populate that custom field for billing document and/or accounting journal item to created COPA characteristic ( custom field : Accounting Market Segment ) ?

Dear Luis,

You can populate the field either manually or using substitution. If you want to use substitution then under Custom Logic, maintain the derivation logic of your new field by creating a new enhancement implementation for the Accounting: Market Segment business context. The available enhancement option is: Business Add-In Market Segment Extension Fields Substitution (FINS_MARKET_SEGMENT_SUB). This Business Add-In allows you to determine extension characteristics using the market segment.

If its not feasible by using the susbtitution then manual input is the only option. In future releases there could be a possibility to directly populate custom CO-PA fields with SD fields using app for mapping the fields; for example populate CO-PA field XXXX with SD field YYYY.

Dear Luis,

If you do not do substitution for the COPA custom field yy1_copa_doctor_mse and do not fill it manually then it will not be populated in the PA segment.

If I don´t do any substitution, where is this field is populated from ?
