Delivery Due List batch job with dynamic date selection

We would like to schedule a batch job to run daily based on planned goods issue date of today plus 1 for example.  We cannot see any options for this in Schedule Delivery Creation APP nor in My documents due for delivery APP.  We tried to save a variant in My documents due for delivery app, but then ran into an error in trying to schedule via batch job that looks like a premise error message on security.  Has anyone had luck creating a batch job that has a dynamic date option?

This is a great question - In the scope item BD9 on learning hub - it says "Every morning, a scheduled job creates the deliveries for the day" but the course doesn't show how to set it up.

Hi Eva - This app is used in several scope items. Within the test script; i.e. BD9 (5.2.1 Job Scheduling for Delivery Creation) the process step shows you how to schedule a background job for creating outbound deliveries.

Test Steps summary:

1 Log on to the SAP Fiori launchpad as a Shipping Specialist.

2 Access the App - Open Schedule Delivery Creation (F2228).

3 Create Delivery Creation Schedule - Choose New to define a new job.

4 Job Parameters - Define scheduling options and parameters for the batch job if necessary, then choose Check.

5 Schedule - Choose Schedule.

6 Check Delivery Creation Job Log - On the Application Jobs screen, after job item’s status turned to Finish, choose Status symbol in the Log column.

Hi Gerard, hi Eva,

the original question seems to be mainly about a dynamic date selection (e.g. 'today plus 1'). This is currently not yet supported in delivery-related job scheduling apps, but planned as an enhancement. Specifically, we intend to provide this option first in the app 'Schedule Delivery Creation' with S/4HANA Cloud 1911, but this may still be subject to changes. Please kindly cross-check the Innovation Discovery website (providing information on our roadmap) as it will be announced there once we're sure we can provide it as planned. You'll find more details also in the What's New document for the S/4HANA Cloud shipment it will be released with (planned: 1911).
