How do you follow a post?

There are often posts, that are not mine, that I would like to follow the answers/discussion to.  How can I do this?

By joining the group for the forums you want to follow you will receive notifications on posts. There is currently not a way to directly follow a post. Thank you for your input. I have submitted this as a feature and will update the Community.

rb2020, it's somewhat of a convention when replying to use the ‎Mention Someone capability (see icon below or use the ‎@ symbol for name lookup), as I have done here for you. This should trigger a notification for that user. This doesn't address everything that you've asked here, but should help brigde the gap somewhat.
