Hi Friends,
We have a scenario wherein there are 6 company codes and management wants to see the consolidated financial statements at group level (all 6 company codes).
1. We have seen a scope item "Group Reporting - Financial Consolidation (1SG)" in the Best practice explorer. Do we need to activate it? (is it mandatory?)
2. Without activating the above scope item, can we derive the consolidated reports by using the field "Group Chart of Accounts" wherein we will create another set of COA at group level and assign those GLs to the Operational COA master data..?
Inputs on the 2nd point would be of great help.
Thanks & Regards,
Hello all, according to the 3AF we have to adapt the sandard CaA with a Group CoA... the question is: how, when and where we create/upload/see the Group Chart of Accounts? Does anybody know this?

Milcho, this is a separate question, and would get more attention if posted as such, instead of adding it as a comment in an existing thread.
As of 1902 we released an app for GL account mappings, which will work for the operating chart of account as well as the Group chart of accounts ; Please have a look at the Roadmap explorer under Accelerators you will find a powerpoint for the Chart of Accounts configuration , which describes the new tool and there is a FAQ document GL Accounts renumbering available as well. If your system was provisioned pre 1811, please open a support ticket, to ensure you can use the app
That depends on whether you need eliminations and currency translation. If so, you need to activate the scope item.

In the roadmap explorer is an accelerator showing available scope items and their dependencies:
Depending on whether you want to plan on consolidated level or integrate with other systems you may need other scope items.
Hi Satya,
They are actually almost exclusive to each other. If you need to prepare your S/4HC system to be consolidated OUTSIDE of S/4HC then you will need 3AF and not 1SG.
If you consolidate company codes / segments etc. in S/4HANA Cloud (S/4HC) then you only need to request 1SG. The BEst Practices Explorer provides more info for each scope item as well.
