Hi All,
I am looking for something similar to SE16N in S/4HANA cloud. In the app "view Browser", there are multiple CDS views for sales. But I cannot use them to directly view the data like we do in case of tables in ECC. The option “show content” is enabled only for Category = Query and Released status = Yes. There are only 6 available queries for sales as of now.
So what is the alternative for tables in S4HC?
E.g. if I need to see all sales documents created in system (order, credit memo req, returns, contracts, inquiries all under one view) how can I do that? (VBAK table in ECC)
I was able to create a custom CDS view but am not sure how to use that to view the data.
Thanks,
Hi Deepti
There is nothing identical to SE16 in S/4HANA Cloud to explore all of the underlying data models (released and not). However, I think there are more than 6 CDS views for Sales. Here are a list of CDS views in the Sales Area: https://help.sap.com/viewer/788fa4c7585e415187e347e904010cee/1811.500/en-US/931621625e484055bd90ccac...
If you go to Extensibility-> Custom CDS views can you create a new CDS view to meet your requirements using some of the delivered CDS views? Then you could make this an analytical query (or consume via OData) based on your requirements?
Thanks,
Marty

Thanks for your response!
I meant there are only 6 CDS views for sales which can directly be used to display the content. Other CDS views need to be used in a custom CDS view.
Also, after we create the custom CDS view, I was looking for some option to use them inside the S/4HANA cloud system (with oData I would have to use the CDS view outside S/4HANA cloud system).
Hi deeptikakatkar
If you create custom CDS view using analytical scenario, you can publish them as custom analytical queries and eventually tiles into S/4HC launchpad as KPIs too if you wanted based on your scenario. Check out this great tutorial from a colleague Pascal which may help you too.

marty.mccormick Thank you Marty. The video link was very helpful. I was able to create analytical queries using the custom CDS views.
The custom analytical query output looks more like excel pivot with rows and columns. However If I expose the CDS view via oData, I was able to create a list/report tile on FLP.
Just out of curiosity, do you know if there any way we can create a list/report application in S/4HANA Cloud using the custom CDS views?
