Copying actual data into plan

Hi,

Is there any easy way to copy actual data into a planning category in S4HC (for example in an outturn, where we would want the YTD periods to be filled with actuals - and then fill the remaining periods with forecast).  There were mechanisms to do this in ECC / On Prem.

Obviously, I know I could download a report of actuals to excel; manipulate this into the right format and the upload using the Import Financial Plan Data app -but anything that involves manual manipulation introduces a potential for error, so I was wondering if I am missing anything obvious where I might be able to achieve this result in a more automated way.

In particular, I was wondering if there might be any APIs planned for the input of plan data in the near future on the roadmap (can anyone from SAP comment?).

This would seem like a very logical improvement to the existing S4HC from a business point of view, as the model seems to be very much based on the fact that planning is likely to be done on an external tool - so having an automated interface would provide a much more robust solution than using an excel based upload.
