stock transport order from SLOC to SLOC

Hello Experts,

We have a scenario where good are moving from SLOC to SLOC via delivery. As this SLOC are present in different states within US we need to use the functionality of STO between SLOC to SLOC. In on-premise we have the configuration where we can activate and can define delivery type for issuing SLOC.

Can this be possible in S4HC. Where can i find the relevant SCCUI for this.

Assumption:

1. This two storage location are in different states.

2. This two storage location are assigned to same plant.

3. We need a STO process where SLOC 1 will be sending goods to SLOC 2. This will be done via outbound delivery.

In this case the issuing storage location is SLOC 1 and receiving storage location is SLOC 2.

As of current planning 1908 delivers SSCUIs to activate stock transfer between storage locations - this should help with what you are looking for.

Nevertheless I must add the note that SAP‘s strategy and possible future developments are subject to change and may be changed by SAP at any time for any reason without notice 🙂

Have you already carefully looked through Best Practice BME - Stock Transfer with Delivery?

It may solve your problem without the need for older on-prem configuration.

Thanks for the prompt response. Yeah i have looked into BME. It says when we are moving stocks between PLANTS with same company code. My query is i have to move stocks between STORAGE LOCATION with the same plants.

I see. My first question then is why do you have a plant with storage locations in multiple states? That goes against Best Practices and is the reason for this difficulty. If possible, I would strongly advise changing your org structure to have a plant for each physically separated area and keep them consolidated under one company code. I can think of no reason that would prevent structuring the organization this way and it would solve this problem immediately.

Beyond returning to Best Practices and fixing the org structure, I don't see a way to do this. This is a non-standard request and the customizing needed to do it isn't allowed in public cloud to my knowledge. Sorry for the bad news.

Answer for 2nd SLOC in different state is that this SLOC is a 3rd Party Warehouse and business don't want to create this as a Plant in system. The goods are moved to this warehouse and further exported. I understand we have some limitation because of public cloud environment but in On-Premise it is a standard solution and i don't think we need to do any customization to map the process. For this we have standard configuration available in IMG (on-premise).

My concern was if this solution is available in Cloud or not.
