Automate text in Post Goods Receipt

In the Post Goods Receipt app, we require text to be entered into the 'Text' field which later can be viewed in the GL. Is there a way of automating the text so the default value is populated from the line item of the order? Thanks.

Could you please check the KBA 2564593 and check if using the option "Use item short text from purchase order as default" helps for your requirement of defaulting a value ?
