Reporting actual apps used - how?

Is there an easy way of reporting which apps have actually been used on a live system?

Obviously, this sort of information is easy to find if you have access to a backend system - is anything available in S4HC which shows actual app usage?

You have the ability to track your own user activities and frequently used apps (https://help.sap.com/viewer/788fa4c7585e415187e347e904010cee/1811.500/en-US/a51153e95e4e455ea6f3d4df890f73e3.html), but I cannot find an easy way of reporting which apps have actually been used on a live system.

Short answer is nothing that we've found within S4HC itself. We've started setting up IAG and poking at that, I'll let you know if we find anything there.

Hi Clare,

Advanced functionality that would provide such access control services may be found within the SAP Cloud Identity Access Governance tool. Please see the below links for reference information:

Hope this responds to your question,

Thank you and kind regards,

Hi Clare,

Follow-up to my previous response.

Perhaps a rather embedded functionality that is related to your query is found in Read Access Logging.

Although the purpose of this tool tends to be used more for protecting sensitive data, legal compliance and audit, it may be used for internal purposes as well.

The scope of this tool may be more encompassing than simply the apps accessed by users, but I welcome you to explore the possibilities that may address your question.

Thank you,

Feras
