Creating new Master page for master form template

Hi,

My requirement is that, I need to print the terms and conditions for order confirmation form in full length content area (with out header, footer and other detail). But there is no master page with full length content area in any of Fragment layouts of Master form.

Even i tried creating new master page for terms and condition with full length content area in master form. But when i used this master form with my content form still the header logo and footer details are getting printed. It seems I do not have control to print my terms and conditions(subform content) to print on this new master page. It just using one MST2(SubsequentPage) for my new master page.

Is there any solution for my requirement, other than creating standalone form for order confirmation?

Regards,

Satya.

Hello Satya,

If I understand your question correctly, you are looking at having an order confirmation form with the usual header and footer, except for the last page where you just want the terms and conditions without any header or footer.

It may help you to know that while defining a master form, it is possible to have multiple master pages on a form. In such a case, for example, you can have two (or more) master pages defined in your master form and then on the last such master page, you can remove the header and footer blocks (like removing the logo etc). This way, the last page should be printed without the header and footer.

I think the answer to your query lies in exploring multiple master pages within the master form. Please try that and hopefully you will have some luck.

The link below might give you some pointers about using master pages.

Hello Priyank Jain,

Thanks for your reply, and you understand my requirement correctly. But I think you missed out that I am developing this Adobe form for SAP HANA Cloud. The concept is bit different in SAP HANA Cloud where The form is separated into two parts Master Form Template & Content Form Template.

The Master form template contains different layout definitions called fragments and each fragments contain two pages first page (MST1) and subsequent pages (MST2). This master form will be used mainly to print logo, footer and other header information which is most common for all the output forms(sales/finance/logistic).

I have tried with creating new page in Master form template but failed to hide the logo, footer and header info. Here my assumption is that we do not have much control to define which page to use. It always uses these two pages (MST1 for first page & MST2 for all subsequent pages) for printing. As there is two separate form scripting also not working to hide logo & footer.

Hello Satya,

I do understand that you are trying to achieve this in the S/4HANA Cloud. I still think you should be able to achieve it using some exploration of the master pages, especially adding a new master page in the master form.

By default, the MST1 and MST2 are applied - generally as you mentioned - MST1 on the first page and MST2 on the subsequent pages. However, it is possible that you can control it in the master form. When you open the master form for editing in the livecycle designer, here are a few things you can do:

1) Add a new master page (this might be the one that you want without any header or footer).

2) In the "Pagination" tab of the new master page, you can control whether this master page is to be applied to only the even pages, odd pages, first pages, the last page or the rest of the pages. This might help your requirement. You may want to read about it on the link below. You may also need to change the "Printing" setting for the page set (need to check this in more detail but I saw the above options were not available when the setting is "Page occurence").
