User Management for Implementation Partner users in Production (Pre-Go Live)

Hello

We are the implementation partner on a new S/4HANA Cloud implementation. 

We are about to start moving to the Production environment, and I would like to know what is the best way to manage implementation partner users. Some of our project team members will need access to the Production system. We do not want to upload these users as employees. 

Should these users be uploaded with the Basic Employee upload and should we use BBP005[Service Performer] as Business Partner Role?

Please provide some information as to what is the Best practice to manage such users.

Hi Will,

I don't think you can exist as business users (and therefore have roles in S/4H) without having an employee record, the BBP005 element relates to the business partner which is created alongside the employee record. Also don't forget you have to create a record in the Admin console (idp) to authenticate.
