1902: Enable Now

I was very interested to hear about the Enable Now integration coming with 1902.

I did ask a question in the Show & Tell session but got no response - so perhaps someone here from SAP can help?

Will this functionality be available out of the box, as part of the core S4HC licence - or will you still need to purchase separate Enable Now licencing

If the latter - does this mean that you couldn't actually tailor documentation (even with a licence) prior to 2901 - the documentation is pretty unclear on this.

Thanks!

Hi Claire,

Thank you for your interest in the SAP Enable Now feature. Yes, a license SAP Cloud Platform must be bought to use this feature. The background is that SAP Enable Now brings a whole suite of functionality like creating click-though-demos, which are then part of the license.

Additional documentation is planed to be released for specific for SAP S/4HANA Cloud as Scope Item 3N5 with Version 1902 and is provided with the SAP Best Practices Explorer: https://rapid.sap.com/bp/BP_CLD_ENTPR

Thank you Dirk!

From my experience with Enable Now in on premis projects, i think it is a valuable addition for S4HC. It can really accelerate the customer's understanding of the configured processes.

Hi Clare,

I'm betting that while EnableNow will integrate with S/4HC it will be a separate tenant communication like CoPilot and will continue to require a separate license (ie. additional $ for EnableNow iteself although the integration maybe part of the core S4HC license). Exciting that the integration capability will be there though!

Hi Claire,

Here is a link that explains all we need to know about 'SAP Enable Now',although this is for 1811 and most of what is mentioned below is applicable in 1902 as well.

https://help.sap.com/viewer/p/SAP_ENABLE_NOW

We have a separate section for Integration that you may review as well.

In terms of the licensing, I dont think this essentially needs an additional licensing, you just need access to the

URL of the portal, your login credentials, and a computer that meets the relevant application requirements

without any need to pre-install the software and you are able to use the most recent software version with the

newest features at any time.

If you use the SAP HANA Cloud Platform Identity Authentication Service, your users can even benefit from using

their corporate credentials to log on.

Attached is the screenshot that explains the connection set up.

here is the link to the same: https://help.sap.com/http.svc/rc/4167d660ef76454d80b6fd996bc80b1d/1811/en-US/SAP_Enable_Now_Cloud_Ed...
