Mass changes in tile G/L account master data

Hello SAP experts,

Does anyone know why we can't do mass changes in the tile "Manage G/L account master data" ?

Hi dmaldji ,

Are you trying to these changes in Q? As of 1902, the application Maintain G/L Account Master Data has the fields grayed out for Mass Change. In order to make changes, you must use the SSCUI 150001. The SSCUI is under Manage Your Solution --> Configure Your Solution --> Chart of Accounts --> Manage G/L Account Master Data. Hope this helps and resolves your issue!

Hi,

You should be able to do mass change of GL Account attributes (both in Chart of Accounts and Company Code segments) through the above mentioned app. Please select multiple GL Accounts and click on "mass change" (Description/Other attributes).

If you go through SSCUI 150001 then you should see the 'edit' button. You might as well use the ''arrow'' button to create your own tile directly on your home screen so you don't go through 'manage your solution' all the time.

If you don't see it, it is probably due to restricted access rights.

I'm sure you also got to know the restriction of mass changing 50 entries max. at a time 😞

riwamouawad Do you know if we have the possibility to delete or hide the GL accounts we don't want to use ? We can block them for posting but I think they will still appear. Thanks again

dmaldji Accounts cannot be de-activated or deleted. Un-used accounts should be mapped to a 999* account, and blocked for posting. If you have a Q system and P system, then changes for Q must be done via the SSCUI. The tile is used to make changes in Q if the P system has not yet been requested.

Meanwhile, theres a flag "Do not use" which you can set on CoA level for each account (in Q system). This will make the flagged accounts "disappear/hidden" in P system.
