eWM for serialized product

Hello,

when creating an inbound delivery for a product which contains a serial number profile the inbound delivery is not distributed to eWM.

The errormessage states that the process is not supported in the cloud for serialized products.

In the serial number profile the use of serialization for Goods Receipts is switched off. So no serial numbers are mandatory for goods receipt.

However we get this errormessage.

Anyone any idea? We only need serial numbers when issuing the outbound delivery, so not in eWM.

Hi,

you get the error message because serial number managed products are not supported in Cloud WM yet. we are currently working on this an plan to support serial number managed products in inbound and outbound processes with the release 2002. In a following release we also want to offer serial number managed products on stock level.

just to give an update on the topic.

In release 2002, SAP did provide serial number management on document level for 2002 (page 13):

and with release 2011, SAP has provided more enhancements on SN topic with a new SSCUI for warehouse serial number profile maintenance (page 18):

Hi David,

which apps are you using when you are getting this error? Also, what information are you putting in for storage location?

Once I have more information, I can deep dive on this issue.

Hello, we have this issue when creating the inbound delivery.

Regarding your link, we cannot use this as we cannot add serial numbers in an outbound delivery that is distributed to the warehouse management module, there we put a warehouse management relevant storage location. From the moment we create an outbound delivery for an item that contains a serial number profile we alo get the same error message.
